Tarotscopes July August 2020 With Bonus Readings

Wow! July’s been a bit of a rocky start for most of us. I’ve had IT problems reminiscent of 2012! Fortunately, while the lost time is frustrating, I’ve come a long way in no longer freaking out about it all. Personal progress in our attitudes are what I hope you’re finding true for you, too!

In any case, I’m glad I did a bonus read with this Tarotscope. A Yes/No/Maybe with a 3-card pick and a When card for more information is at the end of each sign’s usual tarotscope. I’d love some feedback on how the Yes/No/Maybe and When sections and methods work for you. Remember, some of the When answers aren’t related to the calendar.

We’re going into a busy time in the middle of a Mercury Retrograde. So, some things delayed over the last retrograde will be completed or finalised now. Remember to rest, relax and drink lots of water!

PS. I’m currently open for personal readings. Details and inquiries are hiding here.

Agonist Aunt: Stuck Indoors, Serial Crunch, Overload

Welcome to our Agonist Aunt’s desk. She’s here to help out all creatives who may be struggling with getting started, finding inspiration, dealing with blocks and whatnots in the whole creative process or getting a project completed. Agonist Aunt does not currently answer career or love themed letters.

To start this column off, Agonist Aunt has accepted one letter from Leenna, and two fictitious letters from archetypes who could have written in on a whim. The letters are from an outdoor artist (or street artist), a writer working on a new serial, and a person who’s overwhelmed by the prospect of starting any creative project.

To write to Agonist Aunt, scroll to the end of the post and fill in the form. Only three letters at most will be chosen each week.

Disclaimer: Agonist Aunt is only a sounding board. Her reply is for your entertainment and enlightenment only. Follow any suggestion at your own discretion and own it for yourself. Agonist Aunt accepts no liability and no credit in any event.

Dear Agonist Aunt
Help Me Out Of This Rat Sink (ink/rink)
The world has been my canvas and this quarantine thing is gotten to me so badly that I’ve lost my m/use. I create metaphors with bats to highlight humanity’s and our planet’s plight and self-sabotaging tendencies. But being stuck at home, with no natural canvas (the outdoors), I feel my creativity and sense of self being flushed down the toilet.
And yes, I’m sick of bats and rats. Any suggestions of getting me out of this rat-sinkhole.
Yours
I’m-not-B, man

Dear I’m-not-B, man
How about exploring Meta-Fur?
All this indoorsy stuff is getting to most of us, but the silver-lining is it allows us to explore our inner worlds and discover new sources of inspiration. Perhaps, your blank canvas could be your world to create meta-furs and explore meta-fursics—a fusion or diffusion of images and visualisation of what you’d like the world to look like (for humans, animals, or every living thing) when you do return to the outside. Just because you’re ‘in here’, doesn’t mean your art can’t be ‘out there’, if you see what I mean.
I’ve pulled a card for you and this was the message: Inspiration reversed. I immediately thought of inverted inspiration or expectation…I take this as a clarification to ‘look within’ for your inspiration—to your imagination. Rather than reflecting back to the world your truth, shine a new vision to provide inspiration to others.
Wishing you happy and bright new visions

Dear Agonist Aunt
Which Way Do I Go With This Character?
I have this just introduced a character in a new serial I’m writing. At first, I thought she might be the hero’s love interest, and then I thought I’m writing a serial (my first) and not a novel. So, now I’m thinking she could be the secondary character who also carries part of the story. Problem is, I don’t yet have much of an idea what the story is yet, as I’ve just started the serial. My question is two-fold: Is it too early to introduce the love interest, and any suggestions on where I could go with my serial?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Yours sincerely
Character Crunch Time

Dear Character Crunch Time
Map Time, First.
I’ve not written a full serial myself, but it looks like you need a plan. Before you write much further, I suggest you get a large sheet of paper (A3 or A2) and two A4 sheets, some markers of different colours and pens of different colours. Then, I suggest you start at one end (or the top) of the first A4 and start jotting down your ideas for your series. Continue onto the second A4. Stick the A4s together (sellotape works well, this isn’t a piece of art, yet), and taking one coloured marker trace a logical (or most exciting—preferably both) path through your ideas linking characters, events and locations. Then take another marker (different colour, please) and number the plot threads in a progression building up into a grand finale. It’s okay if you don’t have a finale, only your plots must be building into something bigger. Use another page (s) to make more notes.
Then take the large sheet and beginning with your Number One plot, transcribe the basic pointers into your episodes/parts using different coloured pens for characters, locations, etc.
You should have a workable poster-sized map to work on your serial now.
As for your character question, trace their part through the series or see where they might fit in best.
It may seem like a lot of work to figure out what to do with your character, but at least you’ve got a workable map for your serial. Feel free to change it as it goes along. The best maps are always updated often.
I pulled a card for you and the message is: Control. This is what you need to exercise over your serial, and I think this map will give you that.
Wishing you and your characters find your ways in an adventurous and fun fashion
Agonist Aunt

Dear Agonist Aunt
Where To Start This Creative Life?
I’m a new creative. Not new to creative thinking, per se, but to producing creative things like crafts and painted works and writing and all that good stuff. I’ve recently finally gotten some time to get into producing creative stuff, but I don’t know where to start. I’ve gotten a whole truckload of Amazon goodies from paintbrushes and canvasses to baking and decorating utensils to a brand new mug that says “I write therefore I am’, but I get intimidated just by looking it all and thinking of all the things I’d like to do.
How do you suggest I get started?
Sadly
Overwhelmed and Intimidated

Dear Overwhelmed and Intimidated
Start With A Word
Some believe everything ever created was done so by the power of a word, so you may want to try that first. Write a word on a piece of paper, or paint it on a blank canvas. Don’t over-think it. Write it big or small, fancy or scribbled, untidy or super-neat. It doesn’t matter. Neither does the word. I don’t suggest supercalifragillisticexpialidocious, though. Just saying. Next, take another colour and write another word, or swirl the brush around, or draw swirls and twirls. Then take a step back and decide if you’re going to go all Jackson Pollack on it or do something intricate and dainty instead.
Most important of all—the most vital part to creating creative work—is to have fun. So, have fun!
I pulled a card for you and its message is Power. This is a card of intuition, and as well as one which I see as being esoteric in nature. If you have esoteric interests, you may want to start off by drawing/painting or engraving your favourite symbol on your canvas/a piece of wood/some clay. But most of all follow your intuition and see where it takes you. Still, don’t forget to have fun!
Wishing you lots of fun and exploration

Your Tarotscope: May and June 2020

Happy May-June 2020!

Mercury goes into retrograde soonish. Back up those files, double-check your bank accounts, review your insurances and other stuff that may cause stuff-ups in July…Seriously, do it now before things start to move faster than you thought possible.
From the tarotscopes, seems some are coping with the ‘new norm’ and adjusting better than others. Those hanging onto the past and shifting responsibility for their decisions and life are going to find the going only gets tougher, while those embracing change and staying optimistic are going to catch those life-changing opportunities that are starting to whizz by. Keep those vibes high and you’ll see them in time to stick out a hand. It’s like catching soap bubbles! Have fun 😀

PS. Please take a few seconds to answer the poll at the end of this post. Thanks!

Way I See It: Life, Death and Jumanji

So, last month my awesome friend treated me to a trip to the movies and lunch—Jumanji 2 and a delicious grill. Over lunch (and later tea) we discussed as we so often do: Life, Death, Mediumship and why someone who’s passed over still contacts us or sends messages. If you’ve been following this blog or my writing one, you’ll know that I’m new to mediumship and I seem to have the most success channeling messages from pets. In any case, my friend asks and I (using my reading, experience and intuition) theorize—kind of my version of Spirits Theoretical 😀

So, take what you find most interesting and research further yourself as this just my WISI (Way I See It) inspired by the recent Jumanji movies and other gaming franchises. I add to this the basis that my aunt and researchers like Edgar Cayce surmisal that They (Passed Over Ones) have another kind of life over death which varies with individuals.

Please also note that I believe in past lives, reincarnation, and karmic cycles. So, here come the questions and my theories, which are continually evolving.

What Happens When They Die?

Short answer: They level up or are in the process of gaining a new level—graduating.

Long answer: In Jumanji and most other quest/adventure games a player seeks information, objects/points for completing tasks, complementary companions etc. Knowledge and stuff won/earned allows you to move on the next level or complete the game. This makes me think our lives are much the same. When our life or current state of being ends, we graduate or complete the game—Game Over, right? Only, we have other games to play, other realities to experience. Maybe, once we’ve experience all we can of the Jumanji universe, we’re onto Sonic next. Respawning, or coming back to the same point where you died (like being eaten by that hippo in Jumanji), seems much like reincarnation, allowing us to learn and work through issues (karma) until we can move forward.

Why Do They (Passed Over Ones) Contact Us?

Short answer: Infodumps or Exchange of Information

Long answer: Sometimes part of the next game/purpose of their soul is to act as guides (cheatsheet sharers and teachers simultaneously). Other times, They may need information or to learn something more via us for their own evolution. Many of you are familiar with the first concept, but the more I experience mediumship and spiritual guides, the more I feel there are times when they need us, or even experience us, in a similar manner. Another friend of mine years ago suggested the same to me from his own experience: that it’s a mutual exchange in some way. Being in spirit might mean aspects of the human or (3-D) world aren’t as accessible to them, or perhaps They didn’t complete some less meaningful experiences. So, from Their perspective, it may be similar to discussing with your friend who’s still playing the game you finished something like: “Where exactly was the dinosaur? The roof! No wonder I didn’t meet the T-Rex!”

How Do Mediums Get Messages From Them?

(Personal to me, may differ vastly with other mediums)
Short answer: Pop-up info blocks. Superimposed information via visuals, or audio.

Long answer: Multi-verses and Multi-timelines are my feelings on this. The way I experience my grandmother’s visits are like a superimposed impression in this reality, or (for Pratchett fans) Tiffany’s famous Third Thoughts that Answer Back At You in the voice of my Grandmother. For me, this happens with the doggies, too 🙂

But How Can They Be In Two Or More Places At Once?

Short Answer: Concurrent multiverses/timelines/realities and multi-dimensional states

Long Answer: Bear with me on this one. If you’re experiencing life in 3-D (or any other higher D), there’s a part of you that is seen in 1-D, and more of you in 2-D, etc. This means we’re already multi-dimensional, but mostly aware of 3- and 4-D experiences. One’s who’ve passed over maybe able to express themselves in even more dimensions.
How often do you do two things at once (talk to someone and play a game), or multi-task even further: drive, sing, plan the rest of route, run a debate through your mind on the topic discussed on radio, and adjust the aircon at more or less the same time? I believe They can do the same, only They’re driving in one universe, singing in another, planning Their route in yet another while debating with you in this, and so on. Getting back to ‘Jumanji’ and game analogies, consider Avatars: Same personality/energy/awareness but difference skill-sets. The characters are aware of their small town high-school lives, personalities and relationships. But in the game (another reality/timeline), they have other personalities, tools and skillsets available to them—maps only they can see, physical skills they can express, knowledge implanted in them. While their high-school selves predominate and is their primary awareness, they integrate aspects of their avatars in their responses and reactions. In fact, they need the avatar’s skills and knowledge to complete the game.

So, there you have it. The WISI on Life, Death, and Jumanji. I hope it’s got you thinking, contemplating, and exploring concepts that will help you find your own truth and understanding along with your awesome friends 🙂

Interview: Jackie Johansen from YourWordsElectric

Quote Jackie Johansen

Back in May, by a serendipitous event, I received Messaging and Astrology Coaching from Jackie Johansen. You can read a little about my experience here, where I learned to keep it simple and reconnected to my main message of exploring Potential!

I was eager to interview Jackie about her (unique to me) approach, as it worked so well for me and I thought it may be of interest to you.
Here’s how the interview went.

Using astrology as a means to define your personal/entrepreneurial message to the world is an intriguing idea. How did you come to it?
It was a personal journey for me. I had got so caught up in the ways I felt I should be doing things, or talking about my work, that I lost myself in the process. I have taken tons of courses, read lots of books, but they didn’t truly move the needle. However, really anchoring into myself, and focusing on alignment, did shift things. Astrology is an amazing tool to see ourselves clearly. We all have different purposes, ways of working, creative inklings, people we naturally connect with, karmic intentions, etc. I felt it was a disservice to leave this part out of my work with clients. I believe we are here to become fully expressed and our businesses are extensions of ourselves. My work is all about empowering women to settle into their truth–and get clear about what that is–so they can work from a place of deep alignment.

You’re also a life-coach and a writer. What made you decide to combine astrology, messaging and your life-coaching into this one-on-one course?
I started as a copywriter and what I had found over and over was the women who hired me were natural writers but didn’t know how to get the words on the page. They struggled to see their own ability. I found that getting clear on the core message was so empowering because the rest fell into place. My work shifted to helping guide them to find this keystone. Astrology naturally fit in this process. It provides us all with an individual map to our creative expression. My clients found it helpful and it was so much fun for me.

Quote Jackie Johansen

Having had the unique opportunity to work through your Astrology and Messaging Course, I was very impressed from the outset. I was looking for clarity in career direction, and during our first session you led me on a visualization of different paths, which proved very informative. What impressed me more was that you seemed to intuitively know what I required. Is this intuitive approach your usual method, or do you have set meditations, processes, and other tools for different situations?
Yes! My intuition is such a guiding star. My hope when working with someone is always to be a conduit for what wants to come through in service of their highest good. Also, it keeps the work fun and exciting for me because there’s the element of surprise and unfolding. There’s a basic structure to how I work, and we create a roadmap based on the person’s goals, but there’s flexibility and spaciousness for when something else is needed. It’s always neat to see how the process naturally unfolds.

Quote Jackie Johansen

I enjoyed the astrology sessions, and received a lot of reminders as well as new perspectives on myself from your reading and sharing of my Western birth chart. What was really interesting, and revealed awesome synchronities, was your expansion on transits of asteroids, and aspects to my main planets. This goes way beyond a reading of my zodiac sign and those main planets: Sun, Moon, Venus and Mars that we’re so used to. Can you briefly tell us why the asteroids and aspects of certain planets influence our message to the world—our purpose in life—beyond the usual we read in horoscopes?
Transits really bring the chart to life, and can anchor us into cycles we are working with in our own evolution and growth. The asteroid goddesses are beautiful teachers. They help us see our creative expression, how we nurture, stand in our sovereignty, and connect in relationship, amongst other things. The asteroids and transits add more clarity and pieces to the puzzle when exploring our work and what’s on our heart to share.

Quote Jackie Johansen

Towards the end of the course, we worked on my main message, helping me define and refine what my core message is. I gained a lot of insight on myself in my past, present, and hoped for future. In fact, this defining of my core message was a healing for me. It is usual for people to begin your coaching course thinking they’re going to identify this thing and end up resolving or healing other issues, too?
In my experience this is common, I know it has been true for me! I believe that these questions around purpose and the core message we’re here to share, connects us to a deep part of ourselves. If there are parts of us that have been dimmed, or needs transformation, this can surface for healing. These questions connect us to something bigger and evolutionary in our own becoming. It can be so powerful to give these parts of ourselves attention and for them to be witnessed by another.

Now, as our chart is moving through the heavens with time, I was wondering: does our core message change as we grow older? And are there people who have more than one core message to share with the world?
I believe we have core questions and themes that run through our lives. These come out of our charts, our experiences, and own healing journeys. However, as we grow and change, as well as experience different transits, we may see things from different perspectives and our message changes and grows with us. I think it’s important to get clear on what those messages are. They often evolve, or how we share them may change, but the heart is still there. There will still be golden threads that run through our lives.

Quote Jackie Johansen

What would you say is the main belief or issue holding us back from realizing or identifying our core message, and indeed, our self truth?
I’d say a big challenge that gets in the way is over-complicating things and not trusting ourselves. If you’re an entrepreneur, especially online, there’s so much noise and shiny objects pulling you in different directions–all having an opinion on what you should be doing. This makes it difficult to tune in, go inward, and really see our own magic. I believe it’s so important to slow down and cultivate a relationship with our own cycles, our unique creative processes, and expressive self. It’s so easy to look to social media, experts, courses, and templates for clarity. Sometimes these things are great, especially when we want to develop a skill or interest, however we can lose sight of our own inner compass and really what works individually for ourselves.

You’ve also looked at my rather (then) chaotic and cluttered blog, and gave that all important advice to ‘Keep It Simple’. What, in your opinion, most clutters a person’s core message?
For me it can be two fold. One, we are all multi-passionate beings with so much to share. This is a beautiful thing. The challenge is simplifying, getting to the root, and presenting it in a way that others can really get a sense of what we are all about. We need to find the through-lines.

And secondly, I think our message can get cluttered by all the shoulds, expert advice, and trends that pull us in certain directions. We can lose sight of our own uniqueness and what’s at the heart of what we do.

Quote Jackie Johansen

I enjoyed our time together immensely, and appreciated your integrity and the easy-going, safe space you created for me to share and discover what I needed. At the end of your course, what do you hope your seeker retains from the sessions?
That they can trust themselves and their path. That they feel empowered and connected to the work that they are here to do for the greater healing of the world. That they feel more themselves and connected to their gifts. That they can see themselves more clearly for the beautifully unique and creative soul that they are.

Thank you!
